Prompt 46 If I Knew Then, What I Know Now

Well, young lady

If I knew then, what I know now

You need to know that there is an end
Of a rainbow that you can listen to

There are no silver linings in the clouds
Only the golden sunset to drink in now

The journey is un-mistakenly eventful
Cherish all the burses, and pick the scabs clean

Cry the thousand tears of joy for being alive
And wear each scare as testament of your survival

Never doubt the paths you have chosen
You are where you are suppose to be

Have the guts to always be true to yourself
By not allowing others to judge your work harshly

The words of others that can be trusted
Are a special breed, you will know whom

With every unsure step or stumble
You will make strides with the lessons it will teach

Write the words that blossom from your heart
You will always have beautiful bouquets that surround you.

Be Prepared

Be prepared!

This long time motto

Engraved into my soul

From many years of Scouting

Both Girls and Boys Scouting!

Yet each year

The yule tide calls

And I am not prepared,

I cannot decide what to Wear!

Parties I am invited too

Places I want to visiting

People I know I will bump into

I still have not decided to Shop

The days are counting down

So many thing that I wish to do

Accomplishing my “to do list” is failing

For my engraved motto is not for Christmas,

It was taught about everything else in life!

Got Poetry Prompt #8 = Anticipation

Anticipation

Wings fly around a world of make believe

Through green dells, soaring above rust colored mountains

Where dreams manifest to reality, from childhood tales

Of happily ever after which was shoved down your throat

Flying through this world of make believe

The Love Monkey dances in freedom

Within his cage he know as home

Being born of captivity knowing no true jungle

Daily dreams manifesting to your reality

Giving blue and pink iridescent wings upon your shoulders

Flight as they glisten in the dawn of every new day

Anticipating happily ever after would show up today

Prompt: Driving

I hear the radio playing

“Driving in my car,

I turn on the radio”

You jiggle your keys

Yell upstairs

Want to go for a ride?

I run down,

I jump up and down

Wanta go for a ride

Wanta go for a ride

Wanta go for a ride

I spin in a circle

And wait

You move slowly

To open the door

Gonna go out

Gonna go out

Gonna go out

I spin in circles

Slowly I calm down

I sit and wait

The door is open

I see the back yard

Out

Out

Out

I wait, and you

Command

Wait by the car

I make a mad dash

To the passenger door

I hope from one foot

To the other

I spin in circles

The auto key lock opens

I jump

Up and down

Up and down

Up and down

You open the door

I fly in and sit

Waiting

Waiting

Waiting

You get in

Start the car

We’re going driving

We’re going driving

We’re going driving

Please open the window

I need to feel

The air in my hair

Rushing around

My ears,

And flapping my

Jowls
